Catherine Zeta-Jones Hairstyles: Simple and sassy

Catherine Zeta-Jones is a Welsh actress who rose to stardom after two of her movies became super hit at the box office–The Phantom and The Mask of Zorro. Catherine began her acting career at a young age. She acted in various television films and was seen in a number of supporting roles in her early stage of acting. In 2002, she won the Academy Award for her supporting role in Chicago. This actress is admired for her chic looks and exquisite fashion sense. Her selection of accessories, make-up and hairstyles never fails to leave an impact on her fans.

Born on September 25, 1969 in Swansea located on the southern coast of Wales, she is the daughter of an Irish seamstress mother and sweets factory owner father. Her name stems from her maternal grandmother Katherine Fair and paternal grandmother Zeta-Jones. Zeta is of Greek origin. She attended Dumbarton House School in Swansea.

Out of her enthusiasm to pursue her acting career, Catherine left school without obtaining O level. After pursuing acting at The Arts educational Schools in Chiswick for full three-year tenure, she began acting in Kurt Weill opera called Street Scene with the English National Opera, London in 1989.

After her short participation in theatre, she traveled to France and worked with the renowned French director Phillip de Broca. She first got the opportunity to play the lead role in the movie 1001 Nights (Sheherazade). Her roles impressed every old and young fan across the world. She has a good sense of dressing and grooming. Catherine Zeta-Jones Hairstyles are particularly remarkable. Following are some of them, find it out!

Popular Catherine Zeta-Jones Hairstyles

Always Gorgeous

Catherine has one and all dropping their jaws when she first made her big on-screen appearance in the Hollywood blockbuster The Mask of Zorro. The same thing happened at the event where Catherine was snapped at the unveiling of the Elizabeth Arden’s flagship store on 5th Avenue, New York. She looked like an angel in a gorgeous hairstyle. The length of her dark tresses was cut to her shoulders that showed off the soft finish created by the wispy layers.

Soft Tresses

Catherine was short listed as the ‘Woman of the Year 2006’ in Glamour magazine. Her hairstyle looked something like what has never been created before. Her dark mane was softy pinned back with her soft stresses left free around her charming face. This style really added shape and definition to her simple and elegant look. If you have medium to fine hair types, try this superb hairstyle. It looks good on all occasions.

Long Layers

It must be called Catherine’s Mask of Zorro style. This is a popular Catherine Zeta-Jones Hairstyle that never fails to make an impact. At the second annual ‘A Fine Romance’ gala she had a great hairstyle complemented by long layers. She cut her length long and the long layers were added into the very ends to create movement. Wispy, twirling finger waves were then styled from her roots that finished with the waves flowing throughout the length up till the ends of her hair. This particular style is suitable for attending big events.

Sleek Look

In fact, the Welsh beauty looks great in sleek and chic hairstyle. It complements her sexiness. In this style Catherine pulls her tresses backwards into a soft up-style. What’s most amazing about this style is its complementation to her beautiful facial structure. Catherine’s long straight hairstyle is indeed beautiful. And this is one of the best options for those having medium to thick hair types.

Curly Type

Curly is not a bad option for Catherine. She looks sophisticated in curls with long, low maintenance style. For this, she cuts to almost all one length and the bottom layers are slightly trimmed to add bounce and definition to her curls

Welsh women don't look like this (they look so damn ugly, look at Duffy). Catherine Zeta Jones is the 1% that do look good. Thank goodness for that Greek blood.
