Make sure that the shampoo you choose is appropriate for your hair. People with dry hair should make sue of moisturizing shampoos, so that the hair remains well moisturized and hydrated.
Dry hair tends to break often. Therefore, it is very important to be very gentle with the hair, while brushing or shampooing, so that the hair does not break.
It is very important to condition the hair every time you wash them with shampoo. Conditioners with less alcohol or no alcohol should be chosen, as alcohol tends to cause dryness in the hair.
Warm oil massage is a very good way to deal with dryness in the hair. The scalp should be massaged with warm oil at least twice a week, so that the hair gets the required level of moisturizing.
Excessive brushing of dry hair should be avoided, as dry hair are very fragile and may fall due to excessive use of hair brush.
Use of hot rollers and blow dryers should be avoided, as these equipments generate heat, which leads to dryness in the hair.
Excessive use of chemicals on the hair may be also damaging for the hair and may result in hair dryness. Therefore, hair treatments such as perming and hair coloring should be avoided as far as possible, so as to guard against hair dryness.
A mix of vinegar and water is prepared and applied on the scalp. It is allowed to stay on the scalp for around ten minutes and the hair are then rinsed with plain waiter. This is considered to be a very good treatment to deal with dry hair.
An egg is taken and beaten well. It is mixed with water and applied on the scalp, lathering it well. Thereafter the hair are rinsed with lukewarm water. A healthy shine is imparted to the hair as a result.
Last, but not the least, it is very important for an individual to drink plenty of water during the day. Dry hair lacks hydration, which is provided to the hair by drinking plenty of water.
