It is believed by people that consumption of gelatin would help in strengthening the nails. It is just a myth as the authenticity of this fact has never been proved.
People believe that removing the nail enhancements from time to time is very necessary to give some break to the nails. This is just a myth. Removing the artificial nails every now and then may be harmful for the nails and even damage them at times.
Some people believe that use of chemicals on the nails may be harmful for the nails. However, it is not possible to avoid the use of chemicals on the nails, as all nail care products contain chemicals. Thus, one should avoid the products that contain harmful chemicals, but complete avoidance of the nail care products is impossible.
It is also believed that enhancements may damage the nails. It is just a myth. It is not the nails enhancements that damage the nails, but the method of application which destroys the nails.
People believe that storing the nail polish in refrigerator may increase the life span of nail polish. However, the fact is that constantly removing the nail polish from the refrigerator and putting it back again will not help at all increasing the life of the nail polish.
It is believed that green nails just imply mold on the nails. This is just a myth. It can be serious and be an indication of some infection.
Wet nails dipped in water may help in drying the nails faster is just a myth. The nails never get dried soon by this method.
People say that filing the nails in back and forth manner may be damaging for the nails and may spoil the shape. This is just a myth. If proper pressure is exerted while filing the nails, there is no harm in filing them in back and forth manner.
People believe that the cuticles should be cut often for the sound health of the nails. It is just a myth. Cutting them often may lead to nail infections.
It is believed that one should carry the nail care equipments from home to ensure that there is no infection caused to the nails due to equipments used in the salon. It is just a myth as the equipments that are used in the salon are much hygienic than the equipments that are kept in your purse.
