Among many kinds of hair styles, braid waves are very easy to create and really give a fabulous look of the hair style. The braid wave hair style looks great if one has long hair that can be tied into several braids.
Let us here discuss about some of the ways to get pretty waves with braids.
Braid waves can be created from recently washed hair or hair washed earlier. It is very important to ensure that the hair are wet and damp. However, make sure that the hair are not wet in an overly manner. All the tangles from the hair should be removed properly, so that the braids are not messed up.
Before beginning the process of braiding, one should apply any hair styling product or leave in conditioner on the hair. In case the hair are very dry in nature, it is recommended to make use of spritzer bottle which has luke warm water. The hair is then misted with this luke warm water before starting the process of braiding.
A hair cream with a firm hold is applied to have more control around sides, crown and the face.
Thereafter, plan the pattern of the braid before starting. If one is not at all bothered about the kind of waves that are created, one can start by picking any section of the hair and start doing the braids. Small braids help in giving the tight waves, while large braids help in giving loose waves.
The design of the waves should be decided well in advance. One can start braiding from the center, sides, from the roots or some inches away from roots.
The hair may become dry as one starts braiding one section of the hair. Thus, one should keep the spritzer bottle handy. It is very important to ensure that there is an equal level of dampness in all the braids, so that uniform results are obtained.
Elastic bands that are hair friendly should be used to secure the braids, so that they can be removed in an easy manner later on.
It is recommended to let the waves dry out throughout the whole night. The longer the duration of the waves, the better would be the waves that would be obtained. The braids are them removed and the fingers are used to bring the waves in position. A hair spray with a firm hold is used to let the waves stay in place.
