June 25, 2009
Coloring the hair has become a very popular trend these days. One of the most popular hair colors is the blonde color. Blonde hair color really looks gorgeous and splendid. Blonde hair color is a style in itself and looks very attractive. Some people also have natural blonde hair. It is really an asset in this case, as taking care of color treated hair is far more difficult than the natural hair. Blonde colored hair requires a lot of care, if the color has been obtained by way of coloring the hair.
If proper care of the blonde colored hair is not taken, the color of the hair may fade and there may be a problem of brassiness and hair color re-growth. Let us here discuss about the ways to take care of the blonde hair at home and at salon.
In order to deal with the problem of brassiness, it is very important to choose the right hair color at the salon. Tones of ash blonde would help a great deal in neutralizing any kind of yellow hints, while golden hair color tones would enhance the brassy hair color tones.
One can deal with brassiness at home by making use of a toner between visits to a salon. One can also use a shampoo that is specifically made for blonde hair. This helps in keeping the blonde locks classy.
The problem of hair color fading can be dealt by conditioning the hair in a proper manner before going to the salon for the hair color. This would help in absorbing more hair color. One can take care at home by making use of shampoos and conditioners that have sunscreen, so that there is minimal fading of the hair color.
Re-growth is a problem that would be faced by everyone going for hair color. It is a very natural process. In such a case, it is recommended to go for a hair color shade which is lighter by not more than three shades as compared to the natural color of the hair.
Going for highlights rather than a solid color throughout the hair is a better option to deal with difference in the hair color between the roots and the rest of the hair, due to hair re-growth. In order to disguise the hair roots at home, one can go for a zigzag hair parting, or wear headbands or scarves.
