Combination Hair Type
There are many types of hair, viz dry hair, silky hair, combination hair etc. The care for each type differs from one another. Some people have combination hair. In case of combination hair, the hair are greasy at the roots and dry throughout. Combination hair may also have split ends. There may be many causes of combination hair.
Some have been listed below.
Use of too many chemical treatments on the hair may result in combination hair.
The use of excessive detergent based shampoos may also cause combination hair.
The hair gets exposed to sunlight at times. Overexposure of the hair to sun’s heat may give rise to combination hair.
People are often seen using hair styling equipments such as blow dryer, curling iron, and flat iron, to style their hair. These electrical equipments are harmful for the hair, as the heat generated from them can cause damage to the hair, and may thus result in combination hair.
The excessive use of the above actions may cause a reaction in the secretion of sebum at the roots and may alter the scales, thus destroying the protective task. This causes the hair to become dry and may damage the quality of the hair.
The solution to combination hair is to make use of the products that have a gentle reaction. Products that are used for excessive oily hair or excessive dry hair should be avoided.
There are many products available in the market specifically for combination hair. it is recommended to use such products to tackle the problem of combination hair.
In case, one is not able to locate such a shampoo in the market, it is recommended to use the shampoo that is meant for oily hair. thereafter, it is recommended to use a conditioner on the hair by applying it from the middle of the hair till the ends.
