Effective Home Remedies to Cure Dandruff

Dandruff is a common ailment that is suffered by many at all ages. One out of two persons suffers from dandruff at a particular time. The most used products to cure dandruff is anti dandruff shampoos and conditioners. Apart from these many special oils, balms and hair packs are available to cure and prevent dandruff.

These products however are all chemically formulated. If you want to use chemical free and risk free remedies to treat dandruff, read on to know more.

The best ingredient that you can find in your home kitchen is a mixture of vinegar and water. The mixture would contain 6 teaspoons of water and 2 teaspoons of vinegar and apply it on the scalp before you head to bed. Leave the mixture overnight with a towel wrapped around the head. Rinse the vinegar mixture in the morning.

Another ingredient that could be used is ground fenugreek seeds. Soak these seeds over night and grind them in the morning. Apply the ground paste on the scalp and leave it on for a few minutes. Rinse, shampoo and condition the hair using mild products.

A mixture of lemon juice (1 tablespoon) with witch hazel (100 grams), added to 200 ml of water could be applied on shampooed hair. Regular application of this mixture would not only cure the problem of dandruff but also prevent it from coming back.

Use warm apple cider vinegar and leave it on for 45 minutes before rinsing the hair with plain water. Massage a mixture of almond oil and olive oil and leave it on for five minutes for dandruff free hair.

Apply aloe vera gel to remove dandruff. Apply the gel directly on scalp and leave it on for 15 minutes before washing it off. Regularly use the gel before shampooing at least twice a week. Pain killer aspirin can be crushed and added to your shampoo. Leave the mixture on scalp for 2 -3 minutes before rinsing it off.
