Effective Wig Dyeing Methods
Dressing the hair is one of the most interesting ways to give a nice style and look to the hair. There is no doubt that coloring the hair has become one of the most important ways to dress up the hair. Some people also use wigs for various reasons. There are different kinds of wigs available in the market, depending upon the texture and the color of the hair. Wigs can also be dyed in the same as the hair. Let us here discuss some of the effective ways to dye to the wigs and how they works.
There are two methods of dying the wigs, viz “FY Ink method” and “Sharpie Method”.
In the sharpie method of wig dying, alcohol and permanent markers (sharpies) are required. The color of the markers should be alike the color of the wig you require. The sharpie method of wig dying was used prominently in the older times. Take the sticks of ink from the sharpies and make use of the knife to slit them.
Thereafter they are put into alcohol. After that the bottle of alcohol is shaken well till you get the color that is desired by you. In case the color is dark, then more alcohol is added, and if the color is light, more ink is added. Apply the dye on the wig now.
In the FY dying method of wigs, permanent ink and a spray bottle are required. The permanent ink can be in the form of artists’ ink or calligraphy ink. The method of FY dying is much faster than the sharpie method of dying the wigs. Here dye is added to the spray bottle of alcohol, unless the color that is desired is obtained. Shake well and spray the dye on the wig, unless the entire wig is covered with the dye.
In both the cases, let the wig dry properly. Thereafter, wash the properly with cold water. Let it again dry properly. One would be able to see the desired color of the wig thereafter.
