It is very important to take care of the hair, if one wants to have healthy, shiny, smooth and silky hair. Let us here discuss about some of the hair care basics.

First of all it is very important for the hair to get appropriate nourishment by way of having proper diet. It is very important for an individual to eat healthy foods, so that the scalp can get the required nourishment.

Incorporate green vegetables, fruits and nuts in your diet. Protein is very important for the hair which can be provided in the form of eggs, fish and diary products.

It is also important to provide proper hydration to the hair. This can be done so by drinking plenty of water during a day. Lack of water can result in dry hair and may result in lack of hydration and nourishment to the hair.

One should take care of the fact that appropriate shampoo and conditioner are being used to wash the hair. There are a lot of shampoos and conditioners available these days according to various types of hair. Choose the shampoo that is the best for your hair type. Wrong choice of the products can be harmful for the hair.

Never make use of hot water to wash the hair. Luke warm water should be used to wash the hair.

After washing the hair, the hair should be towel dried, while taking care of the fact of not rubbing the hair, to prevent breakage and any damage.

Remove the tangles in the hair with the help of wide toothed comb. Start from the hair ends while proceeding gradually towards the top.

The use of hair styling equipments should be kept at the minimum level, as these equipments generate heat which may damage the hair.

Try the above said hair care tips and see a great improvement in the quality of the hair, thus getting the required shine and luster in the hair.
