Hair extensions are the hair strings attached to your normal hair to give them a long, beautiful and shiny look. They are attached through the method of weaving and give a natural look to your hair. They don’t look artificial at all.
Hair extensions are mostly used by the celebrities. They have different roles in different movies, and each movie requires different style. It is actually not possible to have long hair in one part of the movie and short in another part. So hair extensions are very useful for them and give a natural and flowing look. Earlier hair extensions were a cup of tea only for the rich, but now even a common man can afford it easily.
Hair extensions are basically used to add length to the hair. However, they can be used to thicken the hair and add highlights even. Hair extensions should be used with utmost care. The hair stylist should be an expert. The color, the length, and the type of hair should be known well in advance. A wrong way of attaching the hair extensions could result in damaging your own natural hair, as the process of attaching the extensions requires the use of certain chemicals. Hair extensions are commonly attached in two ways, strand by strand or in wefts. A strand consists of 30 strips of hair. A weft is a segment of hair attached together at the top, and is bonded in the natural hair.
After having hair extensions, it is also important to take proper care of them. The hair stylist will give you advice w.r.t. shampoo, conditioner, how to handle when sleeping etc etc. So, enjoy the hair extensions, amidst precautions and ways to maintain them.
