Hair Loss – Still A Big Problem

Hair loss is a very big problem that affects the health and the beauty of an individual. One might see every second person who may be suffering from the problem of hair loss. In general, around 50-60 hair are shed everyday, due to washing the hair, combing the hair, and styling them. Such a kind of hair fall is not at all worrisome. However, if the quantity of the hair fall increases day by day and is more than 50-60 per day, it is cause of great concern.

In some cases, the cause of the hair loss may be genetic, where the person might be suffering from an androgenous alopecia. Hormonal disorders can also lead to the problem of hair loss. Natural body developments in women, such as pregnancy or menopause may be the major reasons for any kind of hormonal disorder, thus causing hair loss. Sometimes medical factors can also contribute to hair loss. Prolonged medication, uncontrolled diabetes, and thyroid disorders are the causes which may lead to hair loss.

Dietary factors may also cause hair loss. Improper diet, with lack of proteins and iron, is very harmful for hair. It is very important that your body gets the adequate nourishment for the hair to grow in a proper manner. Those who undergo crash diets are more likely to suffer from the problem of hair loss.

The excessive use of hair styling products, such as hair dryer, curling irons, hair pressing, and hair color may have an adverse effect on the hair and may cause hair to fall excessively.

It is also observed that people who are suffering from any kind of trauma or depression are more likely to suffer from the problem of hair loss. Thus, stress and tension should not be taken on heart, as it may deteriorate your health.

Thus, in case a person witnesses excessive hair loss, it is always advised to visit a doctor, before the situation worsens.
