Haircuts for Round Shaped Face
If you have been gifted with a round shaped face, it is important to choose a hair cut that would complement and balance the roundness of your face. Before deciding the right hair cut for your hair, it is important to access the actual shape of your face. Are you sure you have a round face?
To know if you have a round face, simply tie your hair in a tight ponytail and draw an outline of your face on a mirror with the help of a lipstick. Your face shape would resemble either a oval, round, long, heart, diamond or square.
Another way to know about your face shape is to consult friends and relatives. If you are sure, you have a round shaped face, you could have to choose a hair cut that would minimize the roundness of the face by adding length to it.
If you have a round face and short hair, it is a good idea to add volume at the top of the head through heightened bangs or layer cuts as it would lengthen the face. Long hair would naturally make the face look bigger. It is advisable to wear the hair with a centre parting as it would draw the eye along the length of the round face.
However, do not add extra volume around the cheek section. It is also a good idea to keep sleep and narrow locks as they would give a smoother look and soften the face. A side fringe would also make a round face look sleeker and slender. Lastly streaking hair would also add distinction to hair and making a round face look leaner.
It is a definite no – no to have medium length hair if you have a round face as it would only make the face look more rounder. Huge bangs, curls close to cheeks, blunt ends near cheeks and bobs are not recommended for round faces as they only add weight to the face making them look rounder. It is a good idea to first use a virtual style generators to try various hair cuts on your face before experimenting with drastic changes to your look.
