How Hair Turns Gray
Melanin is a very important pigment that is present in the skin and the hair. This pigment plays an important role in coloring the skin and the hair. The hair of an individual usually turns gray when all the pigment is lost. It is a very well known fact that white is usually the color that is obtained due to lack of any pigment or color. There are many reasons for gray hair.
It is normally believed that as people grow with age, the color of the hair starts turning grey. The pigment in the hair is lost with growing age.
There may be cases where the hair may turn gray due to the treatment of cancer. Any kind of tragedy may also cause the hair to become gray.
One may also witness the case of premature graying of hair. Here the reason may not be improper health or any kind of tragedy in life. The major reason behind this type of graying of hair may be due to the genetic factor.
It is very important to note hair that after the hair becomes gray, it is not possible to bring them back to brown, red, blonde or black color. The natural color once lost cannot be attained back. Thus, there would never be a formation of new melanin in the hair.
The hair may also turn gray due to the lack of HGH hormone. The hair may also become thin due to the lack of this hormone.
Another reason for the hair turning gray may be due to poor circulation levels. Lack of proper stimulation in the scalp may result into poor circulation.
Some people may also witness gray hair due to deficiency of vitamin B, smoking, imbalance of the thyroid levels, stress and tension.
All the above factors explain how hair turns gray. There is no doubt that gray hair is significance of old age. However, when the gray hair occurs in young age, it is cause of great concern. It is very important for an individual to take proper care of the hair and take proper diet, so that the advent of gray hair at an early age can be prevented.
