How to Apply Henna

Henna is a very effective and useful way of enhancing the quality of your hair. The best part of it is that it doesn’t harm your hair also. It is a natural product and provides shine and smoothness to your hair. It is the best conditioner and is very effective. However, certain things are needed to be kept in mind while applying henna. They are discussed below:

Take the amount of henna according to your hair length and put it in a bowl.

Mix it with warm water. Also add egg and lemon to it and stir the mixture well.

For chestnut color, a small pinch of coffee can also be added to the mixture. Add red wine for burgundy color.

Leave the mixture for 6-8 hours.

Now, put the gloves in your hand before applying it. Else, its color would last on your hands for a few days.

Try not to wear light colored clothes while applying henna as it may spoil your clothes.

Stir the mixture again and start applying on the hair.

Leave the henna on your hair for about an hour or two.

Then wash the hair under running water.

You can also shampoo your hair the same day or the next day.

After washing, wipe your hair with a towel. Don’t rub the hair too harshly. Do it gently. You may notice some color of henna on the towel. This normally happens. This will end after 2-3 washes, once the color stays on your hair.

Remember not to use henna on permed hair, as it doesn’t work well on such hair.

So, these were the steps w.r.t. the application of henna. Application of henna is quite easy and augments the texture of your hair. It gives a good color to your hair too. It acts as an effective conditioner too. And it can be applied at home too. No need to go to the parlors too. So, just go for this home remedy and observe a major improvement in your hair.
