How to Get Shiny Hair Using Olive Oil
“Wow! What a shine in the hair!” Who does not want to receive such a good compliment about her hair? Shiny and silky hair are the envy of all. It is the desire of everyone to have great shine and luster in the hair.
There are numerous products available in the market these days that boast of imparting shine and luster to the hair. However, these commercially available products contain synthetic ingredients and chemicals, which may harm the hair in some or the other way.
Natural products are always considered to be the best when we talk of hair care. One of the effective natural products for imparting shine to the hair is olive oil. Olive oil is not only used in kitchen for preparing food, but is also considered to be an excellent product for hair care. Immense shine and smoothness are provided to the hair with the use of olive oil. Let us here discuss the way of having shine in the hair with the help of olive oil.
A few spoons of olive oil are taken and put in the sauce pan. It is then heated to bring it to lukewarm temperature. Make sure that the oil is just lukewarm and not hot.
Olive oil is then put in a bowl, in which the fingers can get in easily.
Soak the fingers in the bowl of olive oil and work with your fingers in the hair, so that olive oil reaches the hair in a proper manner. Make sure to do proper massage of the hair, so that the olive oil reaches the entire hair. In case of very dry scalp, work well through the scalp and the hair roots too.
Make use of a plastic wrap or shower cap to cover the head. Let the wrap stay on the head for around half an hour, so that oil can penetrate well into the hair.
Thereafter, wash the hair with shampoo and rinse them with lukewarm or cool water. Avoid using hot water, as it may strip all the natural oils from the hair, thus resulting in loss of shine and luster in the hair.
