How To Have a Frizz-Free Summer – Feed Your Hair!

Summer is a time when the hair becomes dry, rough and frizzy. The sun’s rays are at their highest peak in summers. The ultra violet rays of the sun are very harmful for the hair and make the hair dry and frizzy. Also, in summers, people are very fond of swimming. The water of the swimming pools contains chlorine which is very harmful for the hair. The hair becomes dry and frizzy due to contact with the chlorinated water of the swimming pools. It is very important to take proper care of hair in summers, so as to attain beautiful, healthy and frizz-free hair. Let us here discuss about various ways to have a frizz-free summer.
First of all use of heat generating hair styling equipments such as hair dryer, curling iron and flat iron should be avoided. These equipments generate heat which is very harmful for the hair, thus making the hair dry and frizzy.
In order to protect the hair from the scorching heat of the sun, it is recommended to wear a wide brimmed hat, while going out in the sun. This would guard the hair against exposure to sun. Hair frizz would be prevented as a result.
It is also recommended to wear sunscreen on the hair before going out in the sun. Also, the shampoo and conditioner that you use should be enriched with sunscreen. Use of sunscreen based hair care products would help a great deal in protecting the hair from the harmful ultra violet rays of the sun, thus helping to prevent hair frizz.
Water of the swimming pool also leads to hair frizz. Therefore, you should make sure to wear shower cap on the head before running into the swimming pool. This would help in avoiding contact with the chlorinated water of the swimming pool. Also, make sure that you shampoo your hair immediately after a swim. This would help in getting rid of all the impurities from the hair instantly, thus preventing hair damage. Make sure to condition the hair after shampooing, so that the health of the hair is maintained and the hair becomes soft and smooth.
Last, but not the least, it is very important to feed the hair properly. Make sure that the hair gets appropriate amount of vitamins and minerals. Eat healthy and well balanced diet to feed the hair. Also, make sure to nourish the hair well by massaging the scalp with warm essential oil at least twice in a week. Further, you should also make sure to drink lot of water in a day, so that the hydration level of the hair is maintained and hair frizz is prevented.
