How Wig Dyeing Works
People are often seen using wigs in day to day life to make their hair look healthier and shinier. Wigs are considered to be a very good way of hair dressing these days. People use wigs when their natural hair don’t look good and presentable or when they want a change in their style.
Let us here have an insight into the tips to take care of the wigs. Here we are going to throw light on wig dyeing. It is very important to understand here that wig dyeing and hair dyeing are completely different from each other. The dye that is used to dye the hair cannot be used to dye the wig. Human hair has natural oils and substances that are absent in wigs. Therefore, the dye that is used to dye the human hair is specifically made to work with the ingredients of natural human hair.
On the other hand, plastic is used to make wigs, which is not going to absorb the human hair dye in an effective manner. Wig dye is composed of permanent ink and alcohol. The mixture of alcohol and permanent ink is very good to coat the wig. After applying the mixture on the wig, the permanent ink stays and the alcohol gets evaporated in the air. The dye of the wig should always be of the darker shade than the original color of the wig.
If color is not added to the wigs, the wigs would look transparent like a plastic. No kind of color marks are left after applying the color on the wig, due to the presence of the permanent ink. Water soluble ink is not used to dye the wigs, as they would tend to fade the color as soon as the wig gets wet. Permanent ink would not fade away and would have no negative impact on you. When the wig gets dried after the dyeing process, there would be no smell of alcohol or ink.
