Losing Hair – Some Facts
In most people’s cases, aging means losing and thinning of hair. Apart from age, heredity and genetics – hair can also be lost due to treatments like bleaching, perming, colouring, straightening or curling.
To add to this unhealthy food, no exercise and stress also leads to losing of hair. This article puts together some tips which could help in stopping hair loss. However these tips are precautionary tips and if followed early, they could lessen the density or reduce the rate of hair loss.
Reduce Coloring: The colouring or highlighting process involves bleaching of hair which is harmful for the life of hair. Right after the colouring process, you may fell your hair has become thicker. However in long term it becomes rough and starts falling. However if you cannot reduce the colouring, try to colour your hair with a light shade as that would help hide the scalp.
Curly Hairstyle: It is a good idea to get your hair permanently curled as that would make it look fuller.
Blow-drying Hair: Too much of blow drying can harm the hair. However blow–drying it twice a week would actually do good to the hair as it will help plump the hair. Make sure you keep the dryer 2 – 3 centimeters away from the hair to avoid dryness. Also it is a good idea to condition hair regularly after shampooing as that would keep the needed moisture in the hair.
Shampooing: Use a protein based shampoo to wash hair. Various shampoos containing hydrolyzed animal proteins are available to make hair look thicker by giving them more diameter.
Home Remedies: A tablespoon of white vinegar mixed with a pint of water works as a great conditioner after shampooing. Use this regularly to give a full appearance to your thin hair. Apply egg yolk on the hair before shampooing. Leave it on for five minutes and then rinse it off.
This would add some volume to the hair. In fact try to include as many home remedies in your hair and skin care as commercial products are chemically formulated and can be harmful to hair.
