First of all, you should make sure that the shampoo and conditioner that you choose are appropriate for your hair. This would help in maintaining the health of your hair.

There should be no split ends in the hair. Split ends are very damaging for the hair and spoil the health of the hair. In order to prevent the formation of split ends in the hair, you should make sure to get your hair trimmed every two months. The hair would become healthier as a result.

Make sure that your hair are properly hydrated. In order to maintain the hydration level of the hair, you should drink lot of water in a day. The health and the strength of the hair would improve in a great way as a result.

The health of the hair is highly dependant on the food that you eat. You should feed your hair properly, by eating a healthy and well nutritious diet. Foods such as fish, milk, meat, yogurt, eggs, soybean, nuts and green vegetables are very helpful in promoting the health of the hair.

Ensure that the hair are well nourished. Warm oil massage of the scalp is a very good way to nourish the hair. Olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil or jojoba oil can be used for scalp massage.

Massage the scalp at night with any of these oils and wash the hair next day in the morning. The health and the strength of the hair would be improved in a great way as a result.

You should always make sure to condition your hair every time after shampooing the hair. The hair would become soft, smooth and healthy as a result.

The health of the hair gets deteriorated due to excessive use of heat generating hair styling equipments. Therefore, use of blow dryer, curling iron and flat iron should be minimized, so as to maintain the health of the hair.
