Beautiful skin is the reflection of beauty. Skin care is very important to enhance one’s looks. Soft and smooth skin is not difficult to achieve, if proper care is not taken. Some important steps for taking care of skin are as follows.
Cleansing
Cleansing is an important step of skin care. One should clean the face atleast 2-3 times a day for normal skin. For oily skin wash 4-5 times a day. In case of dry skin avoid frequent wash and use a suitable cleanser. An alternative to soap and water is the use of cleansers in the form of creams, lotions, gels, milks etc. One can apply cleansers in an upward circular movement. Let the cleanser remain for a minute or two on the skin, and then remove with a tissue paper or cotton wool. Finally wash with water.
Masks
Masks also help in removing the dust particles and the dead skin, so as to make the skin look soft and clean.
Freshening
Freshening up of the skin can be done through toners or astringents. These are used after cleansing the skin. They help in removing any remaining dust and make your skin very fresh.
Moisturizing
Moisturizer helps in restoring the water loss from your skin. It acts as a safeguard against sun, heat, dust etc. Moisturizer helps a great deal in case of dry skin. However, various types of moisturizers are available for various skin types.
Protecting
Sun is extremely harmful to skin. Ultraviolet rays of the sun can cause damage to the skin. Sunburns can cause skin cancer. Sunscreen lotions should be used whenever you go out in sun. They are the most important protection tools against sun.
Thus, it is very important to take care of your skin. Any kind of negligence can be very harmful and may have disastrous effects. So, it is advisable to go for skin care methods rather than repenting in the future.
