The Different Types of Hair Perms
Perms are considered to be great style these days. Perms can be made not only in one style, but in various styles. By having perms in your hair, one can have soft waves or bouncy curls. The different types of perms are discussed hereunder.
Alkaline perms
The alkaline perm can help to create firm and strong curls, in case of normal hair. Due to the ph level of over 7.5, this kind of perm is best for the hair which have not undergone any kind of treatment before such as hair coloring etc.
Acid perms
By using acid perms, there is less risk of any kind of hair damage, and is suitable for fragile or fine hair. Such a perm can be used in case of textured hair too.
Exothermic perms
Exothermic perms help to create bouncy long lasting curls, by using some heat. The perming solution has such ingredients that help to provide strength to the hair.

Stack perms help to give the look of layers in the hair. This kind of perm is considered the best in case of single length hair. The curlers are used of different sizes, so as to create movement and volume in the hair.
Body perms/waves
This kind of perm helps to add soft waves to the hair. Body perms are created with the help of large curlers to give a soft wavy look.
Root perms
Root perm is a kind of perm that lifts the roots. In case of short hair, such a perm works the best.
Spot perms
Spot perms are used on only certain areas of the head, where one wants the perms. Movement and volume are created through the fringe in such a kind of hair perm.
