Tips for Prom Night
Well you are graduating! Wow! Isn’t it an amazing feeling? The prom night is one of the biggest nights and most important for most graduates.
If you feel the same, read further as this article would give you some advice on how to style your hair for the prom night.
When choosing your hair style, consider the following pointers:
• Your face shape is very important and your chosen hair style should compliment the face cut. For example, if you have a long face, a sweeping bang with volume on sides would look great. For short faces, a swept back style with volume on top and for a wide face, hair left down at sides would look great.
• Your dress should also be considered. If you are going to be wearing a sleep dress, choose a hair style with an outline. If you are going to wear a dress which is broad at the bottom, wear your hair in a way that it would add volume to the hair.
• Check out the neckline too. If the dress neckline is open in front and back, wear your hair down. If the back or front is covered, select a hair style which would allow you to wear the hair up.
• Try to use the least hair accessories on the prom night. A few stone/gem hair pins, tiny flowers could enhance and compliment your dress and hair. Make sure you don’t over do it though.
• Make sure you check with your stylist what would look great with your hair texture.
• Because it is a formal night, it does not mean that your hair has to be an up do. Do what looks great on your face, dress and the theme.
• If you are getting your hair done professionally, get a consultation or pre trial to make sure what you are doing would look great on you. Try to discuss with the stylist and come to a mutual decision on the hair style. Take photos with you.
• Finally prom night is about being classic and sophisticated. Don’t theme your dress and hair style as trendy as trendy looks great only for daily wear.
