Uncombable Hair Syndrome
What do you by uncombable hair syndrome? It is a kind of situation where the entire hair is messed up in tangles and the growth of hair also takes place in different directions. It is very difficult to manage such hair. The quality of the hair is not good in such a case, and the hair is coarse, inflexible and brittle. The problem of hair frizz is very prominent in such a kind of hair type. After combing the hair, the hair does not become flat as the structure of the hair is not normal.
Uncombable hair are mostly found in children. Many children are seen with such a kind of hair after their birth. In such a case, the hair is glossy and thin in the initial stages after birth, which gradually turns into dry, brittle and curly hair later on. The color of the hair may also fade with time. One may also witness partial baldness in some of the cases in case of such a kind of hair type. The feature of uncombable hair syndrome may also signify the problem of split nails and defective teeth. The effect of uncombable hair syndrome is not only seen on the scalp, but also on the eyelashes and the eyebrows, thus making them sparse.
It is normally believed that the uncombable hair syndrome is mainly due to an irregularity in the hair fiber’s structure. There may be cases, where the uncombable hair syndrome may6 be hereditary. Till now no permanent and ever lasting solution for uncombable hair syndrome has been developed. However, it is believed that if people take regular dosages of biotin, there may be some improvement in the condition. One would be able to at least comb the hair in a much easier way after a few months of regular dosage of biotin. Some antibiotics may also prove to be effective in some cases. However, it is recommended to seek the advice of doctor before taking any kind of antibiotic.
