Vaseline in Hair!
Vaseline in hair! Seems strange! Right! Young girls like to experiment with their hair. Once, a girl applied Vaseline on her hair, to create faux dreads. And, to everyone’s surprise, she was able to get the desired results, thus have a great hair style. Application of Vaseline on hair seems to be peculiar, but it really works. However, now the question arises as to how to get rid of this Vaseline on hair.
Even after washing the hair several times, the Vaseline is not removed from the hair. One often gets frustrated in such a situation and opts for a hair cut. However, there is a solution to get rid of the Vaseline from the hair, without using scissors on your hair.
Blot the Vaseline on a paper towel in a gentle manner and pat carefully. It is hereby advised not to rub the hair as rubbing the hair can damage them.
Take a little cornmeal or cornstarch powder and apply on the affected areas of the hair that contain Vaseline. Gently blot the cornstarch on the hair and don’t rub the hair. Ensure that the entire affected area of the hair is covered with the powder. Cornstarch or cornmeal acts as a good binding agent to the Vaseline and helps to remove the Vaseline from the hair, while shampooing.
Now wash the hair with slightly warm water.
Now shampoo the hair with a good clarifying shampoo. Shampoo the hair twice to ensure that the entire Vaseline and cornstarch is removed from the hair.
Again rinse the hair with mild warm water. Make sure that the water is not too hot.
Give a final wash to the hair with cold water.
Blot the hair gently onto a towel.
Make use of the de-tangler to remove the tangles from the hair.
Let the hair air dry now.
However, in some cases all the Vaseline may not be removed in the first treatment only. It is, therefore, advisable to follow the steps again to remove any kind of left over Vaseline in the hair.
