Wedding Hairstyle Mistakes
July 25, 2009
Imagine something going wrong with your hair on your special day! It can be terrorizing just imagining this.
Read on to know how you can avoid any bridal hair mishap. This article puts together 5 most common mistakes that brides make in regard to their hairstyle.
Mistake number 1: Selecting a hairstyle because it looked good on someone else
The number one mistake which most brides make is selecting a hairstyle which was probably looking good on someone else. Often to-be-brides get enchanted about hairstyles they see on a celebrity. Remember not always do all hairstyles suit everyone. Something that looked good on someone else would not necessary look the same on you. This could be due to personality, dress, face cut, hair colour, hair texture, etc.
Mistake number 2: Selecting a hairstyle which someone else feels would suit you
Make sure you select a hairstyle that you like and not something which someone else likes. After all this is your big day and everything should be the way you like it to be. If you stylist, friends or family suggest something you don’t like, don’t be afraid to tell them so. It is best to mutually decide what hairstyle you would do on your wedding day.
Mistake number 3: Selecting a hairstyle that your hair cannot carry
Not everyone’s hair can carry all hairstyles. For example, soft curls may look great with your flowing gown, but if you have poker straight hair, it simply won’t curl. It is advised to discuss with your stylist before hand what your hair would be able to carry.
Mistake number 4: Too much accessories
Accessories are meant to add little sparkle and glamour to your hairstyle and not completely cover it. Make sure your hair accessories do not go overboard. For example, if you are wearing a detailed gown, wear as little accessories as compared to if your gown is simple.
Mistake number 5: Too much colour
Do not colour or highlight your hair at home. It is best to get some professional advice from your stylist way before the wedding. Too much of anything can cause the hair to look overdone. Also if the right quantities are not used, the chemicals can weaken the hair, making it look unhealthy on the day.

Hope those brides will not make those mistakes on their very special day-wedding. Plan it with your stylist!
