When to Ditch Your Makeup Products
Women make ample use of make up products to enhance their beauty. However, while using the make up products, women should make sure that do not harm the skin.
In most of the cases, it is observed that cosmetics that are expired are very harmful for the skin and may impact the skin very badly. Therefore, the entire make up products that have been expired should be discarded immediately. Let us here discuss about when an individual should discard the make up products.
With the passage of time, the qualities of most of the beauty products are lost. Each and every product has a standard and set time period during which it delivers its maximum effectiveness. After that time period is passed, it is recommended to ditch away that beauty product as it may be harmful for the health and the skin.
It is very important to ensure that foundation is not used more than two years. The use of foundation is done by hands or by a brush, which results in making it messy. Thus, one must make sure to change the foundation at least after two years.
In case of concealers, stick tube concealers should be discarded after a year, whereas wand based concealers should be ditched after around six months.
Powdered blushes and eye shadows should be used for around two years and then thrown away.
Products such as mascara and eye liners should be used for around three or four months. It is very important to ensure that these products are not used at all, if they have expired. Area around the eyes is extremely sensitive and use of these products beyond the expiry date may cause irritation in the eyes.
Lip sticks and lip glosses should not be used beyond two to three years. One may see the deterioration in these products as time passes.
Make up brushes should be changed after around three to four months. It is also important to make sure to clean the make up brushes from time to time, so that the skin is safe from the attack of bacteria.
Most of the nail polishes last for around one year. Nail polishes dry very quickly. Therefore, use them as soon as possible.
