Wig Care Tips
One of the very common hair dressing accessories these days is the wigs. Wigs have come quite in fashion these days and are considered to be a very good way to dress the hair. There are various kinds of wigs available in the market these days, depending upon the type and color of the natural hair. There may be many reasons for wearing wigs.
Some people may wish to wear wigs for a change; some may like to wear it for hiding their hair loss; some people may like to wear them for cosmetic purposes; and some may just want it to wear for fun sake. Just buying a wig and putting it on your head dies not serve the purpose. Proper care of the wigs should also be taken so as to increase the life of the wigs.
Following are some of the wig care tips:
In order to maintain the wigs in a proper shape, make sure that the wigs are kept on a wig stand.
Ensure that the wig is brushed in a through manner, both before and after using the same. Make use of a brush having wide teeth, which should be exclusively kept for brushing the wigs only.
Don’t play harsh with the wigs. Be gentle while handling the wigs. Take the help of the fingers to get rid of the tangles from the wigs.
There are various kinds of shampoos available in the market for the washing of wigs. Make use of these shampoos to wash the wigs periodically.
Make sure that you don’t use blow dryers to dry the wigs. Let them dry naturally on a wig stand. Blow drying may damage the quality of the wigs.
The drying and the fading of the wig can be prevented by maki8ng use of the silicon spray on it.
Make sure that you do not run scissors on the wigs.
There are two types of wigs viz human hair wigs and synthetic wigs. The above steps to clean the wigs are applicable for synthetic hair wigs. Human hair wigs should be cleaned by a professional only.
